The current owner tells us that this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split-window coupe fuelie was a demo car from Guarantee Chevrolet of San Diego, California, and that he first spotted it when a salesman was showing it to a neighbor across the street. He made a deal with the salesman to purchase it and raced it in slalom and hill climb events over the next decade before putting it into storage for the next three decades.
